FALTERING ECONOMY PUTS SQUEEZE ON AGENCIES
New evidence of the reality of the Britain’s faltering economic recovery emerged today, in a survey which shows that digital and design agencies are increasingly being asked to work for free.
The Design Industry Voices survey is now in its third year…
Grim reading indeed. Whats to be done in this malaise?

Ah more buzz on the “the video”. I love the alternatives that they give. Basically take ownership of their production and do something productive with it rather than shy away and pretend it never happened. Be responsible and people will like you for it.

Feedback
Its interesting to hear the differing opinions over the decisions I took with my site, which is about three weeks old now. I have to admit that its not complete and the fact that I’m still uploading projects gives evidence to this. That said even in the build up and research I simply had to draw the line and move to the next stage.
Its technically a copy-driven site and so I needed to have...

Apologies for any of you who did actually read my blog. I’ve just been one of those people that threw up the occasional blog and hoped to be the authority on whatever it is that they say they are good at. To begin with though I’m not the man to bash the keyboard with tons of useful information, at least not yet.
I’ve just gone through a number of months where I’ve been straightening out my...

It seems to me that the intellectualization and aestheticizing of principles and values in this country is one of the things that’s gutted our generation. All the things that my parents said to me, like “It’s really important not to lie.” OK, check, got it. I nod at that but I really don’t feel…

New Year, New Push - Creative Systems
I must admit that despite having set up this blog quite some time ago, I was filled with fresh impetus to produce pages and pages of text, imagery and whatever else I thought might be interesting, but as busy got busier I’ve ended up really avoiding the blog. Some people are really better at doing it than I am, but as a new year fast approaches its once again to look back over the year and...

Common Typography Errors
During last week while jumping from one task to the other, I saw a tweet that caught my attention. It referred to typography errors and the basics. As a new creative director in a creative video studio I often find myself still covering some basics with regard to type and its use. I don’t proclaim to be a master, however I would like to highlight the benefits of even a simple grasp of the...
